Altus Power, an independent developer, owner, and operator of commercial-scale solar projects, announced the acquisition of a solar + storage project from Arevon, located on the carport at the Croton‑Harmon Train Station in Westchester County, New York.
The project consists of approximately 4.2 MW of solar generation, integrated with a 15 MWh battery energy storage system. The project will deliver renewable power to a diverse set of customers, including Columbia University, residential apartment buildings, and a local medical center.
“As a long-term owner of distributed generation assets, Altus Power demonstrated execution certainty and willingness to work through challenges,” said Lydia Li, Director of Investment at Arevon. “We view this transaction as a template for future opportunities and look forward to building our relationship with the Altus team.”
In January, the company announced the acquisition of 105 MW of solar projects from Cordelio Power, an independent solar, wind, and energy storage power producer. Already under construction, the acquired projects comprise four ground-mounted solar installations located across New York State.
Altus Power continues to expand its presence across New York, where it owns and operates more than 80 projects totaling approximately 266 MW.
According to Mercom’s Annual and Q4 2025 Solar Funding and M&A report, approximately 37.4 GW of solar projects were acquired in 2025, compared to 37.7 GW in 2024.
In March 2026, Cypress Creek Renewables, a U.S.-based solar and energy storage project developer, acquired the Steel River project from Swift Current Energy, a renewable energy project developer. The Steel River project, currently under development in Mississippi County, Arkansas, will have 2.45 GW of solar generation paired with 720 MW/2.9 GWh of battery storage capacity.
