System C Healthcare Acquires WellSky International

System C Healthcare, a provider of integrated solutions across health and social care, announced that it has agreed to acquire practice management software company WellSky International from its parent company WellSky Corporation (WellSky).

WellSky International, formerly known as JAC, is known for clinical software in pharmacy and Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA). WellSky International’s solutions are used by several NHS Trusts and Health Boards across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland and some international clients.

According to System C Healthcare, this acquisition will broaden its product portfolio and is a strategic addition to its integrated cloud EPR suite. System C plans to integrate WellSky International’s products into its CareFlow electronic patient record software, including clinical collaboration, care planning, electronic observations, and patient flow.

Robert Tysall-Blay, CEO of WellSky International, said: System C is a great cultural fit for us and has the ambition, scale, and range of products we need to offer a world-class medicines management platform as part of an Integrated EPR.

System C Joint Chief Executive Dr. Ian Denley commented: WellSky International leads the market in medicines management solutions and has a long track record of collaboration with clinicians across the NHS. Its highly evolved clinical products are held in the best regard by users, and we are delighted that they have joined the System C group.

Denley added that “together with our Care Alliance Partner Graphnet Health, System C has a compelling and comprehensive offering for Integrated Care Systems, and we are excited that the acquisition of WellSky International will allow us to accelerate further investment.”
