BOOM Power, a solar and battery storage project developer, has completed the sale of two solar projects totaling 110 MW in the U.K. to Enray Power, a solar and storage project developer.

The sale includes Firsfield Solar, with an installed capacity of 71 MWp and an export capacity of up to 46.9 MWp, located in West Suffolk, and Osgodby Solar, with a capacity of 42.9 MWp, situated in North Yorkshire. Firsfield Solar secured planning permission from West Suffolk Council on April 30, 2024, while Osgodby received planning approval on July 15, 2022, from Selby District Council.

This transaction is part of BOOM Power’s strategy to originate, design, and consent renewable projects before working with companies such as Enray Power to take them into delivery.

Jack Spurway, Head of Planning at BOOM Power, comments, “From day one, we set a clear brief for both sites: robust design, thorough environmental assessment, and genuine community engagement. Securing consent with strong biodiversity outcomes and a clear delivery pathway reflects that approach. We are pleased to see these high-quality projects move forward into the next phase.”

Mark Hogan, Founder of BOOM Power, said, “We’re incredibly proud to see both Firsfield and Osgodby progress to the next phase of their journey. These projects embody BOOM Power’s ethos – technical rigour, environmental responsibility, and long-term energy impact. Each site represents a tangible contribution to the UK’s clean-energy future and a testament to the skill and dedication of our team.”

The company also secured planning permission for the development of its 49.9 MW Carr Farm solar project located at Carr Lane, Tickton, near Beverley, in July 2025.

In October 2025, Gurīn Energy, a renewable energy company headquartered in Singapore, acquired a portfolio of solar and wind projects totaling 303 MW in South Korea from EDP Renewables APAC, a company that develops and operates solar and renewable energy projects across the Asia-Pacific region.

In the first nine months of 2025, approximately 29 GW of solar projects were acquired compared to 28.3 GW in 9M 2024, according to Mercom’s 9M and Q3 2025 Solar Funding and M&A report.
