Sunrock, a developer of large-scale rooftop solar and integrated clean energy projects, has reached financial close with Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (CA-CIB) on a €110 million (~$125 million) green financing facility for its rooftop solar portfolio in France.
The financing comprises a €50 million (~$57 million) term loan facility and an accordion feature of up to €50 million (~$57 million). It will support commercial and industrial solar projects in France.
The transaction establishes a financing framework for the expansion and operation of Sunrock’s French solar portfolio. The financing was structured as a green loan aligned with the European Union Taxonomy framework and incorporates sustainability reporting and monitoring requirements.
Bram Poeth, CEO at Sunrock, said, “This green financing is more than a financial milestone. It is a strong endorsement of our strategy and our ambition to accelerate the energy transition in France. With this foundation in place, we can continue investing in high-quality rooftop solar assets that help our customers decarbonize while strengthening Europe’s energy resilience. We greatly appreciate the transparent and constructive cooperation with CA-CIB and are excited to continue working together in the years ahead.”
De Pardieu acted as legal counsel to the lenders, while A&O Shearman served as legal counsel to Sunrock.
Founded in 2012, Sunrock develops large-scale rooftop solar and integrated clean energy projects for logistics real estate owners, operators, and industrial customers. COFRA Holding acquired the company in 2020. It operates in France, Germany, and the Netherlands.

In September 2026, Windrose Holding, a Whysol Group company that indirectly holds and manages a portfolio of wind and solar assets in Italy, completed a holdco project financing transaction of approximately €118 million (~$134 million) for wind and solar projects totaling approximately 157 MW.
