Qualitas Energy, an investment firm specializing in renewable energy, energy transition, and sustainable infrastructure, has announced the acquisition of a portfolio of nine operational solar photovoltaic projects in Poland.
The portfolio, with a total installed capacity of 376 MWp, which generates over 400 GWh of clean energy annually, has been acquired from a joint venture between Better Energy and Industriens Pension.
All assets were developed and constructed by Better Energy and reached commercial operation between 2021 and 2024.
According to the company, the portfolio benefits from a robust and diversified revenue framework, combining long-term contracts for difference in Poland with power purchase agreements signed with industrial and investment-grade offtakers.
Qualitas also plans to hybridize the assets with battery energy storage systems in the coming months, supporting enhanced grid stability and unlocking additional value.
“This acquisition marks a defining step in consolidating our presence in Poland, a market with strong fundamentals and long-term growth potential in renewable energy. The scale and complexity of the transaction further highlight our ability to originate, underwrite, and structure high-quality deals in challenging environments,” said Adrián Cabrejas, Partner, Germany & Poland at Qualitas Energy.
Post acquisition, the company’s portfolio in Poland is now said to exceed 600 MWp of solar PV capacity, either operational or under construction, complemented by a greenfield wind development pipeline of over 1.2 GW.
According to Mercom’s Annual and Q4 2025 Solar Funding and M&A report, approximately 37.4 GW of solar projects were acquired in 2025, compared to 37.7 GW in 2024.
In March 2026, Sonnedix, an independent solar power producer, acquired a portfolio of six solar projects with a combined capacity of 194 MW in Italy from asset managers EOS Investment Management and Capital Dynamics. Of the six projects, five are already in operation, totaling 182 MW, while the remaining project, with 12 MW of capacity, is currently under construction.
