Enphase Energy, a micro inverter-based solar-plus-storage systems supplier, acquired California-based SolarLeadFactory.
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2012, SolarLeadFactory produces, curates, and distributes solar leads across the U.S.
With the acquisition, Enphase plans to build a digital platform for installers that incorporates tools to design, permit, install, monitor, and maintain solar and battery systems; and this acquisition adds lead generation capabilities to that toolset, the company said.
“For the past two years, we have executed on our installer digital platform strategy with the acquisitions of Sofdesk for solar design software, DIN’s solar business for proposal and permitting services, 365 Pronto for O&M platform software, and now SolarLeadFactory for high-quality lead generation,” said Badri Kothandaraman, president and CEO of Enphase Energy.
According to the recent quarterly update in Q4 2021, the company completed the acquisition of ClipperCreek, an electric vehicle charging solutions provider for residential and commercial consumers in the U.S. It also acquired 365 Pronto, which provides a predictive software platform to simplify maintenance by matching cleantech asset owners to a local and on-demand workforce of service providers.
Earlier in January 2021, Enphase Energy acquired Sofdesk, a parent company of Solargraf and Roofgraf, that builds intuitive sales acceleration tools for the solar and roofing industries. In April 2021, Enphase Energy completed the acquisition of the solar design services business of DIN Engineering Services.
According to Mercom’s Q4 2021 solar funding and M&A report, M&A activity in the solar sector soared with 126 transactions in 2021 – the highest number of deals ever recorded. Most of the transactions involved Solar Downstream companies.
