Sonnedix, an independent renewable energy power producer, has secured $1.3 billion through a refinancing transaction covering renewable energy assets in Chile. The transaction refinances 1 GW of operational solar and wind capacity across the country and provides financing for 117 MW of battery energy storage projects under construction. According to the company, the financing will also support the development of its renewable energy pipeline in Chile, including energy storage and hybrid projects.
Tavion, a company that develops, owns, and operates large-scale battery storage projects across Europe, has raised €50 million (~$58 million) in new equity and debt financing to support the construction of three battery storage projects totaling 69 MW in Poland. The financing includes an oversubscribed equity round led by Leitmotif and Oberon Capital, with participation from existing investors BackingMinds and Course Corrected VC, and a €16 million (~$19 million) debt facility.
Palisade Investment Partners, an independent global infrastructure and real assets manager, has acquired 100% interests in two development-stage renewable energy projects in Australia totaling 1.4 GW through Intera Renewables. The acquisitions include the Monogorilby Renewable Energy Park from LP Renewable Projects and the Winton Renewable Energy Storage and Stability Terminal from Celero Infrastructure. DLA Piper and Ekistica advised Palisade on both transactions.
Enel, a multinational power company, has completed the acquisition of a 625 MW solar portfolio in the United States from Excelsior Energy Capital for approximately $760 million through its wholly owned subsidiaries Enel Green Power North America and EGPNA Project Holdco 2. The transaction follows agreements signed in February 2026 to acquire a portfolio of wind and solar projects with more than 830 MW.
METLEN Energy & Metals (formerly MYTILINEOS), a Greek industrial conglomerate, has signed an agreement with Copec S.A., through its subsidiary Copec Flux S.p.A., to sell the Tamarico II hybrid renewable energy project in Chile’s Atacama Region. The project combines 165 MW solar photovoltaic capacity with a 725 MWh battery energy storage system. The storage capacity can be expanded to 925 MWh.
