ib vogt Sells 272 MW Solar Projects Portfolio

ib vogt, a solar and energy storage project developer, has divested a portfolio of three solar projects in Ireland totaling 272 MWp capacity for approximately €230 million (~$271 million) in enterprise value.

The portfolio comprises the 94.7 MWp Gaskinstown project in County Meath, the 107.7 MWp Rathnaskilloge project in County Waterford, and the 69.4 MWp Clonin North project in County Offaly.

Highfield Solar, a joint venture in which ib vogt is a partner, has developed all three projects. Rathnaskilloge was fully owned by ib vogt, while Gaskinstown and Clonin North were owned by Highfield Solar. ib vogt led all three transactions.

All three projects secured 15-year capacity contracts under Ireland’s Renewable Electricity Support Scheme 2. The Gaskinstown project commenced operation in August 2025 and was sold to a leading international institutional investor, with the transaction closing in December 2025. The Rathnaskilloge project reached commercial operations in September 2025 and was also divested to an international institutional investor in December 2025.

The Clonin North project is expected to achieve commercial operation date in mid-2026, with transaction closing anticipated following commissioning. The project benefits from all necessary regulatory approvals and grid connectivity agreements.

ib vogt will continue supporting the operational projects, providing operations and maintenance services. The company provided full engineering, procurement, and construction services for the portfolio.

Mason Hayes & Curran served as the legal counsel to ib vogt, while KPMG acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the company on these transactions.

According to Mercom’s Annual and Q4 2025 Solar Funding and M&A report, approximately 37.4 GW of solar projects were acquired in 2025, compared to 37.7 GW in 2024.

Earlier, in 2025, ib vogt sold the 95.18 MW Baobab solar project in Segovia, Spain, to EOS NER Solar España, a subsidiary of EOS NER, an independent power producer wholly owned by EOS Holding, as well as divested the 110 MWp Pato solar project located in Segovia, Spain, to NextPower V ESG, a private solar infrastructure strategy managed by NextEnergy Capital.
