VECKTA, an energy planning and procurement platform, has raised $11 million in an oversubscribed Series A funding round led by Origin Ventures. The funding will support the expansion of the company’s U.S. customer team, product capabilities, partnerships, and supplier network.
The round saw participation from new and existing investors, Tech Square Ventures, VoLo Earth Ventures, Cove Fund, Catalyst by Wellstar, Engage, Emerald Bay Ventures, She’s Independent Investments, and Mobilize AI x Energy Ventures.
With the new funding, the company plans to expand its platform capabilities across the operational life cycle of onsite energy assets and automate the evaluation of additional revenue opportunities. It also plans to expand its network of more than 3,000 vetted suppliers and its partner ecosystem as it adds customers across the U.S.
The investment follows the company’s seed funding round in 2023.
VECKTA helps businesses and real estate owners decide where onsite energy pays off and buy it at a competitive price, across one site or an entire portfolio. Its planning and procurement platform pairs automated site analysis with a marketplace of prequalified suppliers.
According to the company, its platform draws on more than 5,000 data points to return a business case and recommended solar and storage system configuration for each site. Companies assessing a broader portfolio can prioritize projects based on economic return and monitor marginal projects for future deployment.
