Leapting Raises Over $14.5 Million in Pre-Series B Funding Round

Leapting, a company that provides intelligent robotic solutions for photovoltaic energy, has secured more than 100 million yuan (~$14.5 million) in a pre-series B funding round.

The funding round brought Capital Today as a strategic shareholder and introduced Long Capital as a new investor. Existing shareholder Clory Ventures also participated, marking its fourth consecutive round of investment in the company.

Founded in July 2022, the company specializes in intelligent installation solutions for PV power stations and aims to deliver unmanned systems across the full project lifecycle. According to the company, its technologies are said to address key challenges of manual operations, including high costs, low efficiency, and safety risks.

The funding is expected to accelerate the company’s R&D in key technologies for automated PV module installation, support its global industrialization strategy, drive market expansion, and strengthen its position in the global market.

Mr. Bruce Wang, Founder and CEO of Leapting, stated, “Against the backdrop of the exponential increase in demand for artificial intelligence computing power and the rapid progress toward global carbon neutrality goals, energy has become the main bottleneck of the digital age. In this context, PV, with its abundant resources, fast technological advancements, and steadily decreasing costs, is shifting from an alternative energy source to a primary energy source, creating significant potential for the PV power station installation business. Currently, the unmanned installation of PV power plants is still in its early stages”.

According to Mercom’s recently released Annual and Q4 2025 Solar Funding and M&A report, Global VC and private equity funding in the solar sector in 2025 totaled $3.5 billion across 75 deals, 22% lower than the $4.5 billion raised in 60 deals in 2024. There were eight VC funding deals of $100 million or more in 2025.

In June 2025, Swap Robotics, a utility-scale solar robotic operations company, secured $3 million in funding, bringing the company’s total funding raised to date to $15 million provided by Silicon Ranch. Additionally, Reagan Farr, Co-Founder and CEO of Silicon Ranch, will join the board of directors at Swap Robotics, as per the terms of the investment.
