Entech Energy & Services Acquires 159 MW Solar Projects

Entech Energy & Services, a company specializing in renewable energy storage and management, announced the acquisition of a portfolio of 41 ground-mounted solar projects totaling approximately 159 MWp of capacity, from TotalEnergies Renouvelables France.

The projects are located across 30 departments in France, at various stages of development, and are scheduled for commissioning between 2026 and 2029.

Of the 41 projects, nine projects with a total capacity of 31 MWp have secured building permits and are in the advanced phase, including five projects ready for construction. Another 21 projects, totaling 76 MWp, are currently under review for a building permit. Meanwhile, 11 projects, with a combined capacity of 52 MWp, have already secured land and are ready to enter the review phase, with all necessary studies having been completed.

This transaction is part of a €15 million (~$17.6 million) fundraising round through convertible bond issues carried out in June 2025 and follows another 100 MWp acquisition announced in July of this year.

According to Mercom’s 1H and Q2 2025 Solar Funding and M&A report, approximately 19.9 GW of solar projects were acquired in the first half of 2025, compared to 18.5 GW in the first half of 2024.

In September, Velto Renewables, an independent renewable energy power producer backed by La Caisse (formerly CDPQ), announced that it would acquire a portfolio of regulated solar projects totaling 163 MW from Helia II FCR, an investment vehicle in renewable assets launched by Bankinter Investment SGEIC, along with Plenium Partners.
