Technique Solaire Group, an independent producer of renewable energy, announced the acquisition of ready-to-build solar projects in the Netherlands and Spain with a total capacity of 58 MW. The deal includes the acquisition of 10 solar PV projects, of which two projects are located in the Netherlands while eight are in Spain.
The projects in the Netherlands represent a total capacity of 26 MW with an individual capacity of 15 MW and 11 MW located in Gelderland province, in Beuningen and Druten, respectively. The construction of the Beuningen solar project began in the first quarter of 2024.
Once operational, these two projects are expected to generate 26 GWh of renewable electricity every year, enough to power nearly 20,000 households.
The remaining eight projects are located in the Aragon region in the northern part of Spain, with a combined capacity of 32 MW. These projects are scheduled for commissioning in early 2025. Once operational, these projects are expected to produce around 63 GWh of renewable electricity annually, equivalent to the yearly consumption of over 40,800 local inhabitants.

Collectively, these projects will supply renewable energy equivalent to the average consumption of 60,800 households.
According to Mercom’s Q1 2024 Solar Funding and M&A Report, almost 10.8 GW of solar projects were acquired in Q1 2024 compared to 11.9 GW in Q1 2023. In a QoQ comparison, 13.7 GW of solar projects were acquired in Q4 2023.
Redeux Energy Partners, a utility-scale solar and storage project developer, announced the sale of a 450 MW solar project portfolio to Pine Gate Renewables, a solar project developer.
