Vikram Solar, a PV module manufacturer and EPC solutions
provider, commissioned 20 MW of solar for Jindal Aluminum in Karnataka. The
entire capacity constitutes of 2 projects of 10 MW each, stated a source at
Vikram Solar. The projects are connected to the Mayakonda Sub Station.
One 10 MW project is part of the Karnataka state government’s plans to develop 1,200 MW of solar projects
in 60 talukas. The other 10 MW project has been developed under Karnataka
Independent Power Producer (IPP) program. The project is spread over an area of
96.99 acres and can generate 23,000 kW of power.
Vikram Solar has used 73,040 modules with 315 W capacity
each for these projects, according to a company

Aluminum has a solar portfolio of 30 MW in operations in Karnataka.
