India SME Technology Services Tenders 3.55 MW of Rooftop Solar

India SME Technology Services, a joint venture between the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and four public sector banks including State Bank of India (SBI), Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) and Indian Bank, has tendered 3,552.8 kW of grid-connected rooftop solar to be installed in 51 offices of various organizations under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

The projects will be developed under the CAPEX model and each project should be in the range from above 1 kW to 500 kW. However, one project may comprise of several rooftop units. The scope of work includes site survey, design, engineering, manufacture, supply, civil work, erection, testing and commissioning of the project, including operation and maintenance (O&M) of the project for a period of five years after commissioning.

The bid submission deadline for the projects is June 30, 2017. According to the tender document, the modules to be used in the project must be manufactured in India. However, the rest of the components can be procured from any source. The project completion time is 15 months from the date of approval by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. In case of delay beyond the scheduled commissioning period, no incentive will be provided for the capacity commissioned after the allotted time.
