Solar projects aggregating 110 MW have been commissioned in
the state of Uttarakhand with another 65 MW expected to be commissioned by the
end of March 2017.
ACME Solar, Rays Power, Profigate and Omkar PowerTech have
commissioned their respective projects, commented a source at Uttarakhand
Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA). Punj Lloyd’s 30 MW project, Emami’s 20 MW
project, JLTM’s 5 MW project, Vishal Techno’s 5 MW project and RP Infra’s 5 MW project are expected to be
commissioned before end of March 2017, added the UREDA official.
The official further added that most of the pending projects
are large and solar system components were already delivered to the project
site, implying that commissioning was imminent.
Projects aggregating 6 MW by A.R Solar, Impex India, Hydro
Power Engineers and Makin Developers are expected to take an extra 10 days to
be commissioned, commented the UREDA official. The entire 6 MW is in one place
and all structures and engineering, procurement, and construction is ready; developers
are just waiting for modules. These projects are expected to be commissioned by
April 10, 2017, added the UREDA official.
reported that due to disagreement between UREDA and the state DISCOM
(distribution company) the commissioning dates for the entire 181 MW had been
to Mercom’s India Solar Project Tracker, Uttarakhand
has a total installed large-scale solar capacity of 145 MW.
